Interstarch participated in Fi Asia Indonesia 2026
Interstarch took part in Fi Asia Indonesia 2026, held from 16 to 18 September at Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) in Jakarta. The exhibition is an established event for the food and beverage ingredients sector and brings together manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, distributors and industry professionals from across Southeast Asia and international markets.
The scale of the 2026 edition reflected the importance of the event for the regional industry. The exhibition brought together more than 700 branded suppliers and over 24,000 attendees, with participants from more than 100 countries. The event covered a broad range of ingredient categories, including functional food and beverages, dairy and dairy alternatives, proteins, emulsifiers, flavours and spices, supplements and nutraceuticals.
Southeast Asia is an important market for food ingredients, supported by a large and diverse food manufacturing sector and growing demand for processed and convenience foods. Indonesia, as the region’s largest economy and one of its major food and beverage markets, provides a significant base for business development across the wider ASEAN region.
During the three-day exhibition, the Interstarch team met with food manufacturers, distributors, existing customers and potential business partners from Indonesia and other markets in the region. Discussions focused on ingredient requirements, product development and applications across different food categories.
The exhibition programme also addressed several topics relevant to the development of the regional food industry. Alongside the exhibition, Fi Asia Indonesia featured technical presentations, an Innovation Zone, Sustainability Square, business matching activities and sessions covering areas such as food safety, ingredient regulations, reformulation and functional food development.
For Interstarch, participation in the event was an opportunity to strengthen direct communication with the Southeast Asian market, better understand the requirements of local manufacturers and develop new business contacts. Meetings with existing customers and partners also provided an opportunity to continue ongoing discussions and explore further cooperation.
The team will continue the conversations initiated in Jakarta with customers, partners and new contacts following the exhibition.
